Release: March 20th, 2007 We’re not even three months in, and 2007 is already shaping up to be the best year of my life…
In terms of awesome media that is… you know.. not like ever or anything.
I mean come on… first a new Die Hard movie, then rumors of a new Indiana Jones.
And now, If you didn’t already know, theres a new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle movie hitting down this year.
I know… I know… a flood of childhood memories hittin’ ya eh?
Yeah, its not the live action Turtles we knew and love, but after Turtles In Time, I think we were tapping the well on that one. The new CGI film vows to stay true to the TMNT comic-book series more so than anything.
In addition, and the purpose for this post, Ubisoft has stepped up to the plate, and put up the change for the Video Game adaptation of the new film. While I’ve seen more than a few horrible movie license titles come out of Ubisoft, nothing against them… movie license games are typically of the horrible variety, overall Ubisoft is one of my favorite publishers [/rant], it appears that they’ll be taking the game in the vein of Prince of Persia.
The good news is, you can check it out for yourself. The game will be released on pretty much every platform they can get it on, including Xbox 360, Wii, and PC. While I’m not sure if we’ll be seeing a 360 demo pre-launch of the game, today I was sent over a nice PC Demo that’ll at least give you a feel for what to expect.

So whats the verdict?
Look like a game you plan on picking up?
I am hyped for a TMNT game period, I don’t care what it is. The PC demo pretty much blows chunks in terms of visuals and gameplay, but regardless I’ll probably end up picking it up for pure nostalgia reasons.
I’m a sucker for anything that could stir up some childhood memory goodness, but overall I think the finished product is going to have some decent gameplay that will make the purchase worthwhile. So for the moment, we’ll put this in the Skeptical but still sorta hyped category.
