The whole reason 360 got the patch first was because Microsoft doesn’t certify the patches like Sony does. Sony actually tests stuff to make sure it won’t screw up PSN. Because of that, however, Sony is also the company that should be taking ALL blame for patches being delayed or not coming out at all. Other games have had massive patch delays between regions (some by 6 months or more… sometimes not even coming out at all for one region but coming out right away for the other , sparking fury of the entire region that hasn’t been given the patch). At least that isn’t happening in this case. Thing is, IW says they submitted the patch to Sony. So, it’s on Sony now.

IW saw PS3 problems, IW saw 360 problems. IW produced a patch for both versions, IW sent both patches for certification, MS approved first, Sony hasn’t. How exactly is that IW ignoring the PS3 community? Have Sony come out and said “IW is lying they have sent no patch” … NO they haven’t.

The only other thing IW could do is phone Sony ever day and ask if the patch is certified yet and then come on here or on the COD website and each day post “sorry PS3 people no patch today” and then get flamed every day for it by people like you.

I love how everyones just blowing sunshine up your asses. You guys are winning awards left, right and center, the game is so great and fantastic, its the best multiplayer experience ever, etc. Yet i love how not one person or company, including Infinity Ward itself, mentions how much they ignore the PS3 users. Two and a half weeks we have been waiting for a patch to go through certification. Not one word about it since we heard that news. Not even to discern rumours of it being denied in certification by Sony.

You guys beat out Valve? What a sad, sad year in gaming. Infinity Ward will never be the console version of “Counter Strike” as ive seen it being referred to. You guys could learn a lot from Valve, like how not to ignore 1.5 million people who play your game.

I also think that the competition between, say Sony and Microsoft really benefits the end customers. MS introduced the Live service and Sony has to follow with a similar concept. Now Sony has won the HD-battle and I bet bluray players will be implemented for the XBOX system as well… So I don’t want a “Sonysoft PS 360″. What would be nice thought, would be if PS3 and 360 users could battle eachother on the same network… Probably difficult to implement (since neither PS3 or 360 work flawless online as it is) but it would be fun…

El Hadji I agree, but its always been the way, the only thing that bugs me is the console exclusives I really want MGS4 but don’t want to buy a PS3 and of course MGS4. Some people have suggested that we might start moving to a one console future but personally I’d hate that as its nice to have choice of interface, look, control etc.

BTW I haven’t included the wii because its far different from PS3 & 360 and anyone who tries to argue any console vs wii really is an idiot.

Can anoyone explain this console war thing? PS3, 360 and Wii are all great machines. All machines have their advantages and disadvantages. For me, the 360 does the trick and for the guy nextdoor the PS3 is the equipment of choice. Why fight over it?

to Chad and tr4nce, both of you face facts. The 360 just had a pricedrop so will likely outsell the PS3 most of the year BUT the PS3 will sell and at some point will begin to outsell the 360 at that point it will become a neck and neck race to the next-gen consoles. PS3 sales will pwn 360 when PGS4 comes out and FYI the wii is beating both the 360 AND the PS3 probably put together the simple reason, its a fun console and the growing games market is normal people who dont want to go on 360 or PS3 and listen to people talking trash down a mic.
