Now THIS would be an awesome iPhone app.

Death From Above, IN YOUR POCKET!

Just imagine:

Control the cross hairs with your finger. Easily switch between 25mm, 40mm, and 105mm quickly with your thumb, double tap on the screen to fire, or trail your finger across for the 25mm rapid fire. Climb the leader boards for highest kills in set amount of time.

I say I’d much rather do this than pop virtual bubble wrap. Who’s with me?

Any iPhone devs out there up to the challenge? ;)

UK based games retailer, GAME, polled 100,000 customers on what they thought were the “Greatest Games of All Time“, and while I’d say that’s probably the most difficult question you could ask a gamer, their results are in:

GAME greatest games of all time

As you can see above, the top 10 include:

1 Call of Duty 4 (Multiformat)
2 Zelda Ocarina of Time (N64)
3 Final Fantasy VII (PSone)
4 Grand Theft Auto IV (Multiformat)
5 Super Mario 64 (N64)
6 007 Goldeneye (N64)
7 Halo 3 (Xbox 360)
8 Metal Gear Solid (PSone)
9 Half Life 2 (Multiformat)
10 Gears of War (Multiformat)

That’s awesome. To know that at least 100,000 gamers greatest memory of gaming is on Call of Duty 4 really means a lot. I love the fact that our game gives people the same kind of feeling when they think back to it as I get when I remember finding the flute for the first time in Super Mario Bros. 3, or going 50 - 0 in Complex on Goldeneye. So thank you to everyone who voted us as your personal favorite greatest game, that probably means more to me on a gaming level than any GOTY award could ever.

Since this was a limited poll, I’m interested to hear what some of your personal favorite “GREATEST GAMES OF ALL TIME” are. It doesn’t haven’t be “THE GREATEST GAME EVER” list, but from your memories of gaming all throughout your life, what do you have the best memories of playing?

Since this is the first, I feel it deserves a bit of an introduction. I’ve decided to kick off a video blog on the site, with the first episode lovely titled “The One About Nothing” being posted above. The concept behind the new video blog is to allow you guys a more visual look into game development or anything else you want.

As I said in the video, let me know what you guys want to see. I know there has been a lot of request to see some footage inside Infinity Ward as well as other things and I’m hoping this little video blog will allow us to do that. Ever wonder what a development kit looks like? how it works? Or what the game looks like in the eye of a designer? Ever want to see inside the studio or check out the offices?

Also feel free to ask questions about anything from the game, to how to get into the industry, to what a daily life in development is like. I think it’d be a cool way to get you guys more connected with the development of our games and the industry in general for any fans or potential future game developers. So let me know what you think and how we can make this work as I’d love to start doing them on a regular basis.

Be sure to check out it’s direct link:

and Subscribe to the Channel to stay connected with future videos if you like the concept. Meanwhile, head over to the YouTube page to comment or leave your comment here on what you’d like to see more of in any future videos. Thanks guys.
